
I'm Frederick, Innovation Manager at the HDI Group. My job is to develop new ideas and put them into practice – with the aim of improving processes within the company and creating real added value for colleagues and customers.
My biggest challenge in this is turning an idea into something really good. Something that works, is used, and makes a noticeable difference.
In 2025, my team and I participated in Next Big Pitch, a group-wide award competition on the topic of generative AI. The best ideas were selected from 110 submissions and presented at the group pitch in Istanbul.
Our AI tool for underwriting impressed the judges and we won Next Big Pitch.
In underwriting, sound data is crucial. At the same time, the amount of publicly available information is constantly increasing. Manual research takes time and is not always complete. This is exactly where our solution comes in. We have developed an intelligent agent network that analyzes information in a structured way. For example, in areas such as regulations, social sentiment, or legal developments. The end product: a clear dashboard with all the relevant figures, data, and facts for risk analysis. It is particularly important to us that the system is continuously developed based on feedback from underwriters.
To truly implement an idea, you need an employer who listens and places their trust in you. Colleagues with the same innovative spirit and team spirit, as well as an environment in which innovation is not only allowed to flourish, but is consistently implemented.
