My journey from Mumbai to HDI Group

Hi, I'm Hetvi!

2021 brought one of the biggest changes in my life: I moved from Mumbai to Germany to do my master's degree in data analytics at the University of Hildesheim. Of course, I had my doubts: Would I be able to find my feet in a new country? What would it be like to study and work in a different country with a different culture?

After completing my studies, I started my first full-time job at the HDI Group. That was another big step for me. HDI not only gave me a warm welcome, but also helped me obtain my visa. I also have the opportunity to take German courses, which is helping me settle in even better.

Today, I work as an actuary in risk management. In my team, I work with colleagues from all over the world—an exciting, international environment where I can learn a lot and develop myself further.Looking back, the move from Mumbai to Germany was a bold step—and exactly the right one. Thanks to the support of my colleagues, I have not only found my dream job here, but also a home.
