Internship and legal clerkship

Internship with the HDI Group

As an intern with us, you will be given a good insight into our specialized areas and be able to use this for your professional orientation. For this reason, an internship with us should last at least two months and up to six months. The longer your internship period with us, the better you will get to know the HDI Group and the more you will contribute to the common success of your team.

In addition, a successful internship will open the door for you to our network of talents. Thus, you will stay in contact with us also in the future and get access to exciting corporate events, trainings, and entry-level career opportunities. Apart from that, you will be mentored professionally and personally by a constant contact person, during your time with us. Where a legal clerkship and an internship within the scope of your respective study regulations is concerned, you will be paid a monthly remuneration in the amount of EUR 750 gross. Students doing a voluntary internship with us are paid in accordance with the minimum wage.

Legal clerkship with the HDI Group

During your legal clerkship with us, you will take on challenging tasks and work with a high degree of self-responsibility. Through your tasks with us, you will gather experience taking you further personally and professionally. For this, you will receive a monthly remuneration of EUR 750 within the scope of the legal clerkship. You can support us in the four specialist areas of corporate group law, liability contract, liability claims, and product and distribution law. Our specialist areas for your legal clerkship

Corporate Group Law

n the area of Corporate Group Law, you will be part of a team of 20 highly qualified jurists. Together, you will deal with legal issues of our holding and our national and international subsidiaries. In the course of this, you will handle issues of company and securities law, general business and regulatory law, and IT law.

Liability Contract

In this area, the whole thing is about liability risk and contract terms. Should a risk be covered and, if yes, what are the appropriate insurance conditions for this? Apart from risk analysis, the focus is on the formation of law and the drafting of contracts and clauses. As a legal clerk, you will, in particular, encounter issues of general insurance and liability insurance law and product liability law.

Liability Claims

In the area of Liability Claims, you will get acquainted with the adjustment of national and international liability claims in all their variety. In our group of companies, claims adjustment is an autonomous advisory and formative area for complex and expensive cases. The solution-oriented processing of such claims depends on the often technical clarification of facts as much as on the interaction of economic and legal evaluations.

Product and Distribution Law

Here, you will deal with specific issues of the field of product and distribution law for different departments. Apart from the insurance contract law and insurance supervision law, your area of tasks will also comprise, e.g., company pension schemes, insolvency law, general private law, and diverse issues from other legal fields.
