Strengthening research and practice in the insurance industry

Since this year, the dual doctoral programme has existed in intensive cooperation with the House of Insurance. Our goal is to promote talented young professionals and to strengthen Hannover as an (inter)national centre for the insurance industry and insurance science.

With us, you have the opportunity to conduct scientific research as an employee and to participate in practical projects. Through the dual activity, you will acquire competences in practice and science. The linking of both areas contributes to innovation in insurance practice and science. Your commitment to the House of Insurance lies in scientific research. The goal is to produce high-quality scientific publications.

What is the House of Insurance?

The House of Insurance is a competence centre at Leibniz Universität Hannover. With the help of the Hannover-based insurance companies Talanx/HDI, VGH, VHV, Concordia, Hannover Re, Mecklenburgische Versicherungen and Wertgarantie, it aims to promote research and teaching in insurance economics, mathematics and law. In doing so, excellent junior staff are promoted and developed. Caroline Schlienkamp represents Talanx AG on the advisory board.
