Our trainee programmes

Our Underwriting and Risk Management/Actuarial Office trainee programs always start on April 1. Our IT trainee program starts on January 1 of each year. However, in some cases it is also possible to agree another starting date individually.

As from autumn, you can apply for the following year – preferably via our Job Board .

You send us your online application via our Job Board . If we are convinced by it, we will invite you to get to know you personally within the scope of a one-day assessment center. This includes a testing procedure, a technical discussion, a presentation, and case examples. For further information on our application procedure, see our „About the application " site.

During your period as a trainee, you will pass through various practical and theoretical phases. In the course of this, you will get acquainted with your future areas of work by collaborating in projects and the day-to-day operations. In addition, we will support you by way of technical and methodical training events.

During your trainee program, you can get to know the professional practice while being professionally and personally mentored by experienced colleagues. You will be provided with deep insights into your subsequent work and thus will be optimally prepared. As a trainee, you will also be given an unlimited contract and have the chance to build for yourself a precious network within the company for you future career.

To join us as a trainee, you should have successfully completed your Bachelor's or Master's degree. We also want you to be able to organise yourself well, work in a solution-oriented manner and be motivated to contribute yourself and your ideas to the transformation of our company.

Trainee programmes in the insurance industry differ from other industries in that they usually have a longer duration in order to provide trainees with comprehensive training in different departments of the insurance company. In addition, insurance companies often place more emphasis on the technical training of trainees, as the industry is very complex and requires specific expertise. Trainees also have the opportunity to be directly involved in operations and thus develop a deeper understanding of the business. Support from experienced mentors is also often more pronounced in the insurance industry to help trainees develop.

The duration of the trainee programme depends on the area in which you complete the programme.
Our trainee programmes last between 12 and 18 months.

The salary for trainees varies according to the area and the experience they bring with them. In general, the remuneration for our trainee programmes is oriented to the pay scale just like a normal job.
In general, you can expect a trainee salary between €45,000 and €55,000.
