Sustainability
We are actively shaping change – for our customers, our employees and society. As an insurance company, sustainability is a key issue for us – from tackling the consequences of climate change to investing in renewable energies. That is why we integrate environmental, social and governance aspects into our business activities and have firmly anchored them in our Group strategy. Our sustainability strategy is based on four key areas of action: insurance technology, capital investment, our own operations, and social and governance issues.
We are working consistently to reduce our emissions and aim to achieve greenhouse gas neutrality in our own operations by 2030 (including offsetting remaining emissions). Our employees also benefit from our reduction measures: discounted job tickets throughout Germany for commuting and leisure, flexible working time models and the option of mobile working support both the environment and work-life balance.
