Too dyslexic to be smart, too old to attract an audience, and no place for women in gaming. These were just some of the comments Jasmin heard at the beginning of her career. But she refused to let them discourage her. Today, many know Jasmin, "Gnu", as Germany's most popular female gaming YouTuber.

When Jasmin started on YouTube nine years ago, industry insiders advised her to keep her age a secret. The reasoning? If she wasn’t “young enough,” she’d lose viewers. “I don’t want those viewers anyway,” she says confidently. Her conclusion is simple: Jasmin embraces who she is and believes that aging is a privilege. Using her platform, she encourages her community to see their worth as independent of youth or appearances.

Jasmin’s journey to success wasn’t without challenges. She had to learn to prioritize her own goals and strengths. Her career proves that it’s worth questioning the limits others place on you. “The moment I stopped valuing other people’s opinions so much, everything started going better for me,” she reflects.
